Conagra Associate Manager, Category Marketing in Chicago, Illinois
As Associate Manager of Category Marketing on our Foodservice team, you will manage a variety of product categories in our shelf stable and refrigerated business for iconic brands such as Chef Boyardee, Vlasic, Wishbone and Earth Balance. You will manage the development and implementation of marketing plans including marketing strategy, sales coordination, pricing activities and general project management to support the category. You will report to a Senior Director of Category Marketing.
Your Impact:
Manage P&L elements for assigned categories to attain annual and long-range financial goals
Develop and implement growth strategies
Coordinate resources/teams on key initiatives to achieve our goals
Conduct competitive and industry analysis
Guide customer-driven Category Management projects for assigned categories
Develop category marketing collateral and promotions
Develop insights and rationale to lead development of category innovation
Assist the Senior Director of Category Marketing with all elements of category management to include pricing activities/trade spending, forecasting, analytical support, advertising and promotion (A&P) management, RQI initiatives, planning, and supply chain alignment
Your Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required
3+ years of related experience in the Foodservice/CPG or related industries
P&L management experience
Experience conducting detailed business analysis and making recommendations for lines of business
Industry knowledge of Foodservice syndicated services
Project management experience, including leading project teams
Understanding of Foodservice marketing programs including promotions and collateral
Number of Days in Office: 3
Located in downtown Chicago along the Chicago River, our corporate headquarters is in the landmark Merchandise Mart building, with access to public transit, and several options for dining and shopping in the area.
