Conagra Continuous Improvement Specialist in Chicago, Illinois

Reporting to the Director Continuous Improvement, you'll enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of Conagra Brands operations. You will partner with our manufacturing sites and program teams on implementation of Connected Shop Floor and implementation of Conagra Performance System (CPS). Apply lean methodologies and process improvement techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will provide pillar education, training and results tracking as part of the deployment work with our manufacturing sites.

What You'll Do:

  • Have a working knowledge of Connected Shop Floor tools and correlate to continuous improvement efforts at our manufacturing sites.

  • Implement focused continuous improvement processes and metrics to identify and eliminate losses, increase throughput, and deliver savings targets.

  • Work with the Plants to identify areas of waste / variation to help prioritize projects to reduce operating costs.

  • Facilitate cross functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of improvement projects.

  • Guide plant teams to ensure standard practices, reapplication of improvements, calibration of approach and effectiveness of processes.

  • Ensure documentation and system ownership with the platforms for all standard practices.

  • Provide leadership and coaching for Plant resources necessary to help increase rapid results through good technical problem solving and reliability improvement.

  • Develop internal resource capability within plants.

  • Be the change agent for CI results achievement and glide path results.

  • Promote culture and 100% true employee ownership.

You'll Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience required

  • 1+ years of plant Continuous Improvement experience using TPM-based methods

  • Experience leading change and situational leadership

  • Conceptual/process skills

  • Clear communication skills, influence, motivate and lead people

  • Manufacturing and operations experience

  • Project management skills

  • Willing to learn new technology and software applications

  • We ask that you travel 75%

Compensation:

Annual Base Salary: $62,000.00 - $92,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
