Conagra Wastewater Technician in Fort Madison, Iowa
Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, with various start times-various end times
Hourly Rate: $29.12 an hour
As the Wastewater Technician, you will work on-site at the Fort Madison, IA manufacturing plant. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and you will earn $29.12 per hour upon hire, advancing to $30.95 per hour once certified.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day testing and sampling of wastewater system
Ensure compliance with DNR permit requirements
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with wastewater.
8 to 12-hour swing shift rotation
Position Requirements:
Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment certified with IDNR preferred or
Ability to study/learn material independently through books/coursework and successfully pass Iowa state certified exams (process takes 3 years)
Ability to explain the process flow of a wastewater system
One year mechanical and/or electrical experience
One year experience performing wastewater or laboratory sample tests
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot
Completed high school Algebra I level math
Proficient in Microsoft office and ability to navigate other computer programs to include utilities computer control program
