Position summary:

Reporting to the Perfect Store Lead, the Perfect Store Manager will lead the execution of Channel Standards, focused on Distribution, Pricing, Shelving and Merchandising on their assigned brands. You will be part of the Commercial Strategy Team, being responsible for the execution of Channel Standards and delivery of the Annual Operating Plan. They provide strategic channel market and shopper expertise to brand and customer teams as an important enabler / collaborator between Sales, Marketing, Retail, and the rest of the organization. They understand, create targets, and monitor key drivers of channels, category, brand, and customer sales for their assigned brands. They build execution plans and provide recommendations to achieve our goals. You will enjoy a unique experience not found within any other Sales team because of the opportunity to develop sustainable relationships throughout different departments.

Organization: Important internal stakeholders include Marketing, Sales, Commercial Strategy, Demand Planning, Customer Insights and Analytics, and Sales Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Own delivery of assigned goals by developing and executing customer and channel plans with an ability to understand trade, mix, and levers to grow net sales and gross margin.

  • Collaborate with customer and brand teams to build a go to market plan for assigned brands.

  • Develop strong relationships throughout the organization and provide customer and brand business development opportunities, thought leadership, and solutions.

  • Leads execution (base + innovation) of the Annual Operating Plan on their assigned brands.

  • Create channel and customer targets, developing scorecards to assess execution, develop insights, identify risks, and create opportunities/action plans associated with execution fundamentals (Perfect Store: Distribution, Price, Shelving, and Merchandising).Attend Sales Demand Planning, and Agreement to provide a consolidated sales POV on assigned

  • brands.

  • Advocate and represent the customer point of view across multiple teams and key cross functional projects.

  • Create and deliver persuasive communications, guided by data and insights for assigned brands in partnership with CIA/brand.

  • Provide continuous improvement leadership through bringing forward best practices and ideas to simplify work.

  • Provide analytical support on assigned projects and daily tasks.

Potential Career Progression:

  • Progressive and lateral moves into Sales, Insights, Revenue Growth Management and marketing

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • A University Degree in business/economics, an MBA is an asset.

  • 3-5 years of progressive sales customer and/or marketing experience in the CPG industry.

  • Knowledge/previous experience in consumer-packaged goods worldwide.

  • Strong analytical skills and proven track record of delivering sustainable results, experience in Nielsen, and Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) an asset.

  • Strong communication skills- you will be expected to work broadly within the organization, and will require strong written & verbal communication skills, along with a, presenting style that aligns and facilitates discussion.

  • Ability to succeed working individually and as a member of a team; ability to quickly create new relationships.

  • Enterprise-wide mindset - Strategic thinking, problem solving and can deal with ambiguity.
